The all-new Dodge Hornet has been introduced to a market that already has quite a few compact crossovers. Dodge knew the Hornet had to be something special, and fortunately, it really is. Its 2.0-liter engine is the most powerful gasoline engine offered in this segment, and all-wheel drive comes standard. It comes extremely well equipped, with all of the latest in tech, yet remains competitively priced.
The interior is comfortable and spacious, and the 27 cubic feet of cargo space means the Hornet is practical as well. It even has a 2,000-pound towing capacity, one of the better you’ll find in this segment. To top it all off, the Hornet is just plain more stylish than its competition, and that never hurts.

All-wheel drive comes standard, and the available dual-mode suspension minimizes body roll in corners while still keeping you comfortable on bumpy roads. Opt for the Track Pack and you’ll get four-piston fixed brake calipers made by Brembo for some serious stopping power.
Exceptionally Well Equipped
The Hornet is such a standout in the performance department, you have to be careful not to miss what an excellent value for money it is too. The kind of power produced by the Hornet doesn’t come standard on the few competitors that even try to match it, and neither does all-wheel drive on most competing compact SUVs. The Hornet comes with 17-inch wheels, dual-zone climate control, a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, rain-sensing wipers, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Outfitting a competing vehicle with all of this equipment would cost a lot more, and it still wouldn’t look as good or take off from the lights with as much ease.
Purposeful Design
The Hornet’s styling, like the rest of the vehicle, strikes an impressive balance. It is both elegant and aggressive, stylish but totally functional. All-LED lighting comes standard, and there are wheels up to 20 inches available, through which you can see the available red-painted brake calipers. Inside, you’ll find more performance touches, like available Alcantara seats and red contrast stitching. It’s a vehicle that confidently states its purpose.
