Lease Return Guide
Returning a leased vehicle isn’t the kind of thing that most people ever do frequently enough to really say they feel confident about knowing all the steps in the process. That’s why we’ve put together this guide to lease returns and what you can expect and when. And it’s worth noting that, whether you lease a Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, or Ram vehicle, the return process is the same, which makes things a bit easier.
Lease Return Process
90 Days – There is nothing specific that needs to be done at 90 days out from the end of your lease, but this is when Chrysler Capital recommends that you start looking into which vehicle you’re going to want next. Maybe you want to buy the vehicle you’ve been leasing and this step can be skipped, but if you’re considering another model, and need to do things like schedule test drives, it’s good to get started early.
60 Days – At 60 days out from the end of your lease, it is recommended that you schedule an inspection of your vehicle. This is so that there are no surprises at the last minute when you turn in your vehicle. It gives you time to address any issues beforehand so that things go smoothly when the day arrives.
30 Days – At 90 days out, you started your research into what vehicle model you want next, and at 30 days out, it’s time to choose a trim/options and pick out the specific vehicle that you want. Not every trim or combination of options will be in stock all the time, so letting us know what vehicle we can get for you ahead of time will help us have it ready for you when you turn in your leased vehicle.
